7/11/08 - Meg's 30th B-day!

Turning the big 30! Well, it is nice to announce that last Friday I turned the big 30, and I am still alive to tell you all about it! Cary & I took the day off work and went to lunch at Olive Garden, then went to see Hancock. (Great movie by the way!) We had a wonderful day!

My present........besides having him as my husband......
he found a guy here in Billings that does glass blowing. He went and talked to the guy and knowing that I have always wanted a Native American Wedding Vase, that is what I am getting, only made out of blown glass. We get to design it from the colors, what we want on it, everything! So, I am thinking of having the handle at the top look like the celtic infinity tattoo that we both have, the two vases kind of twist but look like calla lillies at the tops, and the base be swirled with colors and have our names and wedding date put at the bottom. Colors..since I am morbid..midnight blue, blood red, and black of course! (my favorite color!)

Here are the awesome flowers I got too from..........

I got these two African Violets & an ivy from Cary......

I got these from my Mom & Dad.......

And I got these from Betty & Woody!

Then on Saturday night we had a BBQ with some friends over to celebrate! It was a great time & I thank everyone that helped me in celebrating!

The Probst Family Reunion......

Give me a few more days to get this one posted. Had to get the pictures & figure out exactly how to add in the crazy drunk people!! :) (I didn't know people could actually drink this much and still function!!)

Yellowstone Trip June, 2008

On the weekend of June 2oth, Cary & I went to Yellowstone Natl Park with his parents and his neice Megan & nephew Sawyer. They are his sister Arica's kids. They were out here visiting the grandparents for 2 weeks. On Friday night after work we drove down there and met up with the rest of the gang at Mammoth Hot Springs and stayed in cabins there. We went up the Beartooth Pass to get into the park and here is a picture of the sunset on the way up. It was beautiful!!

Here is a picture of Betty, Megan, and Sawyer at the Mammoth Hot Springs on Saturday morning. Then a picture of Cary and his dad!

The picture on the right was taken at the top of the Mammoth Hot Springs. It had the neatest blue color in the pool I have ever seen. You can't see it too much in the picture, but it was really neat. There was steam coming up from everywhere up there.

Saturday night we stayed at Grant Village down by the lake. It was really nice to have a bathroom in our room!!! On Sunday we went to the falls and here are two pictures from there. I swear I could sit and watch and listen to the water all day everyday. I just love it!

Of course, I have to take some scenic pictures while on the trip too! There are some great views of streams, creeks, trees, and so much more beauty in that park! We really didn't see too many animals this time but that is ok. We saw more buffalo than we ever need to see again. Actually.....they caused a traffic jam since they decided they wanted to walk in the middle of the road instead of off the road and it took us two hours to go 4 miles!!! It was NUTS!

Beartooth Nature Center

For Memorial Day Weekend Cary, myself, Desirea, & Charles went to the Beartooth Nature Center in Red Lodge, MT. It was a GREAT place. I wish I could live there! Or, at least take a few of the cats home! :) It was cold, and raining, so we all got soaked, but we had a great time. I love the big cats that are there. One of the mountain lions was actually talking to us because he was hungry! This place was amazing. It houses animals that will not ever be able to be released into the wild again. Some of them were bred there at the center and some were brought in for various reasons. Mostly, the ones that were brought in were pretty much on their death beds and the center brought them back to life and they stay there now! We plan to go back as often as we can!

Freedom the Bald Eagle & the first Lynx we saw

A wolf that was chewing on the fence & the Mountain Lion that was talking to us!

A racoon doing what they do best...being rascals & the biggest mama Lynx! (reminds me of Stitch!)

And, 2 of the falcons that are housed there

Our Family

I thought I would introduce our family....meaning the animals. We are currently having technical difficulties with having children but we are working those kinks out. So, for the mean time, we have our 5 cats and now 4 dogs. We just got Jesse back from the in-laws until we can find him a great family home to adopt him.

First...our cats - we have Stitch, Chunk, Indi, Gizmo, & Hercules.

This is Stitch - the starch lover. We adopted her from PetSmart when she was 6 months old. She loves to eat bread, muffins, pretty much any kind of bread product!

This is Chunk. He was our first kitty. He is also adopted from PetSmart. He is a bit on the eccentric to say the least. He loves any attention he can get!

This is the newest of the batch. Her name is Indi and we adopted her from PetSmart too. She keeps to herself for the most part unless she is hungry then she chews on your fingers!

Here is Gizmo. We got her from the ranch. She is half Siamese half ranch! She is nice & lovable!

Then there is the crazy one of the bunch....Hercules. We got him from the ranch & he has the most personality of them all! Most of the time he thinks he is a dog! He is surely a different one - but that's why we love him!

Second...the dogs - we have Tank, Riata, Jesse, & Phoenix.

Here are Tank & Riata. They are buddies. They have always been this way. Riata just wants someone to rub her belly non stop & Tank still thinks he is a lap dog even though he is 75 lbs!

Last but not least, here are Jesse & Phoenix. Jesse is a moose of a black lab that is so easy going! Phoenix is a boxer that reminds me of the energizer bunny! She goes like crazy then crashes!

So, there they are! Our nice little family of animals! There are tons of them and we love them all!

Our 3 Year Anniversary!

Today is our 3 year anniversary! I have to say that it has been 3 wonderful years and many more to come! Cary is amazing! He sent me 2 dozen assorted roses at work and took me to Outback for dinner. I swear they have the best ribeye steak in the city right now. I think sometime next month we will go to Chico Hot Springs to celebrate too. (I won $500 toward a trip last Christmas! Bout time we use it!) So, needless to say, today has been a wonderful day! Here is a picture of the roses I got!
